Your reading is yours.
The promises
- We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. There is no version of Viraldico that makes money from your reading habits.
- We never train AI on your reading. We don't have AI features, and we won't feed your books, ratings, or club conversations into a model, ours or anyone else's.
- We never show you ads. There are no ads in Viraldico, so there's no reason for us to profile you.
- Aggregate by default. Where libraries see numbers, they see counts and trends, not individuals. Attendance and outcomes are reported in the aggregate.
- Library patrons stay anonymous. If you join a club through your library, you can take part with no account, and we don't store a record of what you've read.
- Your data is portable, and erasable. You can export your shelf and your account, and you can delete it. When you delete, it's gone.
Why we can promise this
A company that sells ads or answers to a retailer eventually has to make money from what it knows about you. We don't, so we don't. Protecting your reading isn't a policy we adopted. It's the shape of the business.
